O.k., I was on tour again!
Starting with a presentation for PM International in Bolzano/Italy. From there I continued to South Tyrol, where I gave a presentation for the FitLiners around Renato Pichlkostner.
I was pleased that this time I had the chance to do some exercise as Renato insisted to run up his “house-mountain” together with me. The Mendel-Pass was 13 km long and a climb of 900 m. As you can imagine, there is not much words needed to get me into something like that. We started on a wonderful sunny day. Renato badly wanted to beat his own record. And you won’t believe it: he made it – 17 min faster!! Congratulations! For me a great experience, and for Renato: Totally happy!
When stretching – he showed me my limits! (see picture)
From there I continued to the PM Leadership event to Garmisch Patenkirchen. This was a hot spot too!
From Garmisch I flew to London – after 30 years at the Thames again.
Our hotel was only 200 meter away from the Tower Bridge, the spot where half of London is running. It is unbelievable how many people are running and biking between Tower Bridge and Big Ben – just incredible!!
I thought something like that exists only in New York Central Park but what you see in NY at Central Park and Hudson River, you can compare with what you see in London at the Thames.
Currently I am running about 5 times a week approximately 70 – 80 km.
In January I will add 2 times 3 hours spinning (indoor cycling) to my exercise plan as I will participate in 2012 in the qualification for the Race Across America (RAAM) for 2013.
For this qualification I will participate in August 2012 in the race around Austria – 2.200 km are to be finished with an altitude of 28.000 m in a maximum of 6 days! A 24 hour cycle race in Kelheim as well as 2 times across the Alps are planned. There is quiet a bit to be done.
I wish all my friends, fans and FitLinern a merry Chrsitmas and a happy New Year.
See you soon
Achim
